Chantelle wishes she had post-divorce therapy, not surgery
Big Brother celebrity Chantelle Houghton said she regrets resorting to plastic surgery after her marriage to pop star Sam Preston ended, according to The Daily Mail.
The former couple are both living in the Big Brother house, as part of the Ultimate Big Brother show. Chantelle, talking to fellow contestants Ulrika, Nadia and Brian, said: "I didn't get over what happened when we split up and I'm only just realising now I'm in here."
She said she turned to plastic surgery in a bid to deal with the dissolution of her 15-month marriage to the Ordinary Boys singer. According to Digital Spy, the pair married in 2006 and were paid £300,000 by OK! magazine for their wedding photos.
Instead of seeking out help in the form of a life coaching course or similar therapy, Chantelle confessed that she chose plastic surgery: "I went and got my boobs done, face fillers and my lips done and I should have seen a therapist. I just wanted to completely change myself and look like a completely different person."
Chantelle revealed: "I was on the M5 once and it got to the point where I was so upset that I just closed my eyes."
Vicky Thomas, Chantelle's best friend, said she thinks the pair will get back together. Vicky told Star magazine: "Chantelle is determined to make Preston realise what they once had together. She said she would show him the girl he fell in love with all those years ago, and she hopes he falls for her all over again."
