Davina McCall praises marriage counselling
Davina McCall has praised the benefits of counselling courses for couples; claiming that "it works."
She revealed some secrets of hers and husband Matthew Robertson's marriage; claiming that the pair went through marriage counselling "a few" years ago - after encountering some problems.
The 'Big Brother' presenter said it really worked, stating: "If you go into marriage counselling as a couple who are still in love but need a bit of help over a few stumbling blocks, it works."
Her comments may prompt more couples to seek some external help for their issues, in the hope that it will leave them with a healthier, more well-balanced and fulfilling relationship.
McCall also admitted that Robertson is the "boss" in their relationship, calling him an "alpha male" in the Daily Mail.
"For example, if I am watching something I like on the telly he might come in, take the remote control and change the channel without even asking."
"But in a way, it is quite manly. I never wanted a walkover. I'm a strong woman and I need someone who can match that."
The television star is not the first person to praise the benefits of this type of counselling, with Ygoy.com arguing that "conflict resolution", "effective communication" and making "sharing easier" were all great rewards that could come from attending regular sessions.
