Zeta-Jones returns to work after speaking out

Catherine Zeta-Jones has returned to work, after revealing a week ago that she attended counselling courses for bipolar II disorder.

The Welsh actress looked "elegant and glamorous" whilst filming 'Playing the Field' in America.

According to The Daily Mail, the 41-year-old has also spoken one about her recent stint in a mental health facility, telling the press: "There is no shame in seeking help."

The wife of Michael Douglas went on to say that if she had helped people overcome the disorder, going public was all worth it. She revealed this to People magazine, claiming: "This is a disorder that affects millions of people and I am one of them."

"If my revelation of having bipolar II has encouraged one person to seek help, then it is worth it."

It is thought the star's recent episode was brought on by the immense stress she has been under over the past 12 months; supporting her long-term husband through a battle with throat cancer - all whilst raising two children and working.

Zeta-Jones even admitted that the smallest tasks were difficult, as one of her close friends told the press: "The simple things would just seem overwhelming, like going out to dinner."

"There was a little piece of her chipped away. It was hard to watch because I knew how hard she was trying."

However it now seems Zeta-Jones is back to health and getting on with life, as a result of the professional treatment she obtained.
